64Smiles is a special website (and WebApp) that makes it very easy to share old (and new) family photographs privately and safely with your family or relations (and friends if you choose) wherever they are. The site is designed with a unique twist, displaying your photos in a beautiful family tree structure to bring your family’s rich history to life.
Created to be simple to use - you just login from any phone, tablet or computer. You can browse through photo collections already shared, add comments to them, add more relatives to your family tree, upload photos you’d like to share, tag the people who are in them and the system manages it all for you.
3 simple steps - Snap, Add and Tag.
Snap: If your photo is in printed form, take a snap of it with your phone (or your preferred device to “digitise” it).
This creates a digital photo “file” on your device.
Add: Upload this now digital photo file (or any others) to the App (just follow the Add Photos prompts on screen).
Tag: Then follow the Tag Photo prompts on screen to “tag” the people in it. (The system presents you with a list of people
already created to choose from).
The system will organise instantly and display your photos in your photo family tree.
The site was created as we were looking for a safe and private way to share our old family photos. Existing sites like Facebook
& Instagram just didn’t give enough privacy and with WhatsApp it was too easy to lose comments amongst a sea of new messages.
64Smiles is totally private – you choose who sees your photos. Best of all, it is a lovely way to connect with family all over
the world to create a full collection of old photos and comments.
Security and privacy are vital and key to the purpose of the site. Any photos you share remain 100% your property and you have
total control over who sees them. Delete them in an instant if you wish.
We take safety seriously and only those invited can login. Only members who are linked, such as immediate or extended family,
can view your photos and even then only the photos you have chosen to share will be shown.
Ask an existing member you know to send you an invite. This ensures 64Smiles remains secure by verifying who you are.
Accept the invite your contact emailed you from 64Smiles.com (check your spam folder...). Login with your email address, create a password and add a small profile picture when prompted (the system requires a profile pic to continue so have one ready on your device).
From the Invite tab, enter the person's email address (please ensure it's correct because you are verifying this person), link them to one or both of their parents and click Create Invite. The system does the rest.
Because everyone's Photo Family Tree begins with their parent(s).

64smiles.com was created and developed by Joe with a little help from his brother Sean. Inheriting a suitcase full of old
black & white photos that was kept in excellent condition at The Mill, they discovered many taken by and of their parents,
grandparents and relations. However, they found that they couldn’t identify many of the people in lots of them.
They also couldn’t find an existing Internet App that was suitable to share these treasured photos easily and securely among
family, relations and friends, now that they all lived in different parts of the world.
Using his experience of developing websites such as 64cousins.com, AnsonReed.com, BlueSkyInterviews.co.uk (to name but a few)
Joe designed app.64Smiles.com as an easy to use, private, secure and free WebApp for members to store and share their old
black & white photographs.
And the clever “Comments” feature helps to find out who many unknown people from the past are by collaborating among members!
So they no longer have to wait to be in the same room to look over these great memories!
